COVID-19 POLICY STATEMENT
Our plan is to operate as normal through the current covid-19 outbreak; we have a number of controls and contingencies in place to ensure continued supply to our valuable customers:
Government advice will be monitored regularly and this document may be amended to reflect this.
- Any staff with an elevated temperature or a new/persistent cough should stay away from work premises and self-isolate; staff should inform line managers of absences in the normal way, absence policies remain the same for time-being
- Staff are not to visit premises away from their usual place of work unless authorised by a senior member
- Staff should take common sense measures to maintain proper standards of cleanliness e.g. wash hands regularly, catch coughs and sneezes
- Staff should avoid close contact with customers/suppliers wherever possible and avoid site visits unless unavoidable and authorised
- Where contact is necessary (e.g. goods in), take sensible precautions with delivery drivers or other visitors (maintain 3 steps of distance between personnel, don’t dwell)
- Staff in high risk groups have been contacted separately and will be working from home
- To support these initiatives and help to reduce the risks to the workforce, the business will pay for lunch where any personnel would otherwise go out to buy food. This will be ordered and paid for centrally
If any of the following apply to you, you must advise your line manager and must not attend any workplace or GP surgery/hospital; use the NHS 11 Online service: 111.nhs.uk/covid-19
- been positively tested for Covid-19
- been asked to self-isolate by health services
- been in close contact with someone with Covid-19
- in the last 14 days been to a country or area with a high risk of Covid-19
ABOVE ALL – STAY SAFE
